With its long fermentation process, it offers improved digestibility and a lower glycemic index compared to conventional bread as well as the "so-called" sourdough (that is not proper sourdough because yeast and artificial rising aids added).
Our 100% natural fermentation also enhances the flavor, texture, and shelf life of the bread, ensuring a lekker and longer-lasting experience. Also way easier to digest.

We are proud to offer German artisan sourdough bread, crafted using traditional methods deeply rooted in our baking tradition from our families Bakery in Germany . Our recipe, refined over generations, embodies the essence of classic German sourdough, renowned for its rich flavor and robust texture.
We prioritize the use of high-quality ingredients, all of which are sourced locally from dedicated farmers and mills in the Western Cape.
This not only ensures the good taste and texture of our bread but also its exceptional digestibility and longlevity.
Among our innovative offerings are half-baked bread solutions, specially designed for restaurants, B&Bs, vineyards, and other hospitality establishments. This service allows these businesses to serve freshly baked, high-quality bread to their customers, adding a touch of warmth and homeliness to their dining experience.
You can find our sourdough at the coffee roasting company at Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West. It's available not only "on their shelf" but also on the menu for breakfast and lunch. As we our shop is closed on Sunday - they're having our freshly baked breads available for you.
